NZ Sales Manager Lynette Luen is a qualified chemist and spent
10years with Douglas Pharmaceuticals and 4 years prior to that at Wellcome.
Coming from a pharmaceutical industry, I fully appreciate the technical
complexities sourcing speciality and excipient chemicals for not only
the pharmaceutical but also other related industries.
After
nearly four decades of experience in the operation and management of
plants (devoted to bulk actives, formulations, inorganic chemicals and
synthetic fibres ) Alak retired as Director-Corporate Planning from
a large Indian pharmaceutical group and settled in Australia.
Academically
he holds a Honours Degree in Chemical Engineering with post graduate
diploma in Operations Management. He took over the task of developing
our Pharmaceutical Business Division in early 1998. This has now been
expanded to include Veterinary chemicals, Food chemicals and Research
Chemicals, both in Australia and in New Zealand.
A unique addition is initiating cost effective process research and
development of exclusive and rare bulk actives (which have come off
patent) Widely travelled on business since 1973 ,Alak’s favourite haunts
are CPhI, Chemspec and Informex. Alak and his wife are doting grand
parents to their two grand children.
